The Edmonton Oilers got news that they didn't want to hear today, forwards Leon Draisaitl and Evander Kane were not on the ice for the Oilers morning practice. Many have questioned if Draisaitl's ankle was re-injured last game when he was favouring it a lot in the third period of play, with the recent news of him missing practice we can only hope he is giving his body a rest and it's not related to his ankle.
Due to the two forwards being absent, it's likely one of them is now injured as Devin Shore has been called up from the Oilers' AHL team, the Condors. Shore was just sent down yesterday, and recalled today, meaning a surprise injury likely occured.
