REPORT: Elliotte Friedman Drops a Bomb on The Edmonton Oilers
With a dominating touchdown performance (7-2 win) in last night's Edmonton Oilers vs Seattle Kraken game, the Oilers are now third in their division and are now ahead of the Calgary Flames and Colorado Avalanche.
As per usual the Oilers' offence has not been an issue, but the defense has sure been questionable at times. Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner can really put in the work and do as much as possible, but when it comes to a point that there are multiple 2 on 1 plays in a matter of a few minutes, it's not a good look on the Oilers back-end, leaving Skinner in tough situations.
With the oilers competing in the standings with the LA Kings, Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche, they will need to buff up their defense if they plan to go on a good playoff run this year.

Elliotte Friedman has revealed the Oilers have significant interest in Gavrikov, a 27-year old defender who doesn't take anybodies BS and will be a body guard for his teammates when needed. He stands at 6 foot 3, 220lbs and is a very physical defender.
Friedman says Oilers have really big interest in Gavrikov. Team is willing to pay the price. It's a bit hard because Kane is coming back and they need to make it fit.
Friedman and Stauffer also mentioned some other news on their podcast, stating Jesse Puljujarvi time is done in Edmonton, and Sportnet's Elliotte Friedman stated he'll be gone by the deadline 110%.
