I think we can all agree when I say thank goodness the NHL All-Star break is over, now we can back to watching our Oilers heading into the 2nd half of this season. The Oilers started off rough but have now found their way back into the playoff scene and with the the NHL trade deadline coming up, it has us wondering what moves Oilers General Manager Ken Holland will make this time around.
There was some cause for concern from this morning's Oilers practice as one of the Oilers forwards was missing from practice, center Matias Janmark. We since learned from Oilers Hockey Insider Jason Gregor:
"Janmark not on the ice. Due to Personal matter and will meet with the team in Detroit."
Although Gregor didn't mention the reason Janmark was away it's good news he will be back in time to face the Detroit Red Wings.
Gregor would also give some good news that forward Kailer Yamamoto is expected to be back with the Oilers Sunday after being placed on long-term injured reserve. Both Janmark and Yamamoto are important pieces to the Oilers.
