Many teams would start at 1:00 PM or even 2:00 PM on the weekends or go through long stretches without a game during the week.
This seems to have spilled over into the playoffs, as some teams have had a two to three-day stretch of no games, especially in critical ones like an elimination game.
To be fair, no one has a crystal ball to know when a series will finish, but in the past, they would usually have a one-day rest between two games.
With so many teams sharing their buildings with other league teams or even concerts. Building owners are trying to jam-pack as many events as possible, especially after the COVID pandemic.
After beating the Kings in game five, the Oilers will have a long rest between games five and six. The next game will be held on Saturday, April 29th and as mentioned there will be no time available as of yet.
The Oilers are currently leading the series three to two and we'll need to see if this will affect them while keeping their momentum up.
