NHL Prospect Gets Suspended Due to a ''Vulgar'' Gesture
The AHL is criticizing forward Dominik Shine, who you've most likely never heard of.
After six seasons of continuous play with the Detroit Red Wings AHL club, the Grand Rapids Griffins, forward Shine, 29, has little hope of playing in the NHL. Shine currently has 13 points after 49 games, giving him a rating of-13.
Despite the fact that he is unlikely to ever play in the NHL, his most recent "inappropriate gesture" has attracted the attention of many NHL fans throughout the league.
After a scuffle with an opponent, Shine, a 29-year-old player, raised his middle finger, earning a two-game suspension. He didn't point it at the other player; rather, he pointed it squarely at the television and at everyone watching from the comfort of their own homes.
His jersey has the letter "A" for alternate/assistant captain, but it doesn't look well.
