In a recent video posted by a young fan, the fan was looking for an autograph and a message from Fleury, to which Fleury obliged. Fleury signed a jersey for the kid, then even said a quick message for the camera excusing the kid from his classes for the day.
It's another great example of Fleury's infectious personality and love for the game of hockey, which has persisted throughout his career into even his age 39 season. When all is said and done, Fleury is a no-doubt hall of famer.
If the Minnesota Wild continue to struggle this year and fall well out of a playoff spot by the trade deadline, Fleury could become an attractive trade option to a contending team. With the experience and talent he can bring at just a $3.5M cap hit, it would be possible for a number of the contending teams in need of goaltending to make a move, but likely only if Fleury himself agrees.
