The president of Hockey Operations for the Toronto Maple Leafs is former old-school Hall of Famer Brendan Shanahan, and it seems like he's still hard headed as he was back in the 80's, 90's and 2000's whenever he played. Rumours swirled around that the Toronto Maple Leafs were going to change the team's goal song and many fans were excited, until that idea was shut down, and it's rumoured to be shut down by Brendan Shanahan, who shut down the request of a song change because he and his kids love the current goal song.
Recent reports state that Shanahan has banned the alcoholic beverage, referencing beer throughout his locker room. Many teams tend to celebrate huge milestones with "beer showers" after the game, but many fans noticed it was just water when Mitch Marner broke the franchises record for the longest point streak.
