Good news and bad news Edmonton Oilers fans, unfortunately it seems like the Edmonton Oilers General Manager Ken Holland is unable to acquire Arizona Coyotes defenceman Jakob Chychrun and has pulled out of that trade scene.
However, the good news is Holland is very interested in acquiring Chicago Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane, as recently revealed by Hockey Insider Frank Seravalli that Kane has also shown interest in playing in Edmonton.
To be quite honest, why wouldn't Kane want to come to Edmonton? To play along side Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Evander Kane and Zach Hyman, Kane would fit in nicely and imagine all the highlight reel goals Kane and McDavid could pull off together?
Kenny make this happen, obviously the Oilers would need to move some salary and also have the Blackhawks retain salary, which may also be a bonus if somehow the Oilers could con the Blackhawks into taking Jesse Puljujärvi. It would give Jesse an opportunity in a smaller hockey market, and top line minutes to excel and grow confidence in his game.
