Brossoit spent his first four seasons in the NHL with the Oilers and had some success in that role.
Predominately a backup goaltender, Brossoit didn't face much action during his time with the Oilers and comprised the record of 20 game starts, and had a record of 7-13-2.
The Golden Knights lost their starting goaltender Logan Thompson to an injury earlier this season and has not played one game in the playoffs. The combination of Adin Hill and Brossoit has helped carry the team forward.
The Golden Knights will now face the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup final. The stellar play of Sergei Bobrovsky for the Panthers will put the Panthers at a distinct advantage in goal.
It's interesting to note, that the Golden Knights have a third additional goaltender in their ranks that they haven't played yet and that happens to be two-time Stanley Cup champ Jonathan Quick.
It remains if the Knights will turn to him if they get down in the series early.
