The Edmonton Oilers, the only Canadian team that were left in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, have now been eliminated.
Example: scheduling and careless marketing.
This dates back all the way to 2004, with the Calgary Flames goal or no goal argument, as the league has been hated for that call ever since. Gary Bettman, has seemed to be one sided with which teams he favourites, and it's not any Canadian teams. Especially in these Playoffs, as refs have been brutal, and possible penalties have gone uncalled, goals have been disallowed, and more.
The Toronto Maple Leafs, no goal call that ultimately costed them their seas well, and now the Edmonton Oilers have been eliminated.
Gary Bettman, is highly frowned upon around the league, as he continues to make very little chances in order to help grow the game, especially within the Canadian market.
With the Edmonton Oilers, in these Playoffs, Gary Bettman and his team were very sloppy in scheduling and organization around the team. His favourite seemed to be late scheduling, both time wise and game time.
Like tonight, May 14. Must see TV, Connor McDavid Vs Jack Eichel in game six, yet the game is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET. The only game on all day and it's not on till 10. As well, nobody knew the game time until the morning of, waiting till the very last minute.
Gary Bettman, may or may not be trying to screw over the Canadian teams, as he doesn't help his case very much.
