Connor McDavid will take on the Vegas Golden Knights tonight as they continue to push for a playoff spot in the Pacific Division. But the Captain of the Edmonton Oiler isn't just thinking about that tonight.

With Edmonton's Pride Night happening tonight, McDavid had something to say about it.

«I feel very strongly that hockey needs to be inclusive — and include everybody.» — Oilers captain Connor McDavid

McDavid believes that hockey should be for everyone and not only is this taking a stand compared to James Reimer and the Staal brothers.

Pride Night in the NHL has become a controversial topic, as NHL teams have allowed teams and players to pick and choose whether they will wear the jersey or take warmups in the jersey(i. e. Reimer, Eric & Marc Staal) and Ivan Provorov and the New York Rangers set this precedent.

It is heartening to see someone as prolific as McDavid put his support behind the initiative.
