BREAKING: Authorities make a major update on Adam Johnson investigation
The entire hockey world is still reeling in the wake of the tragic passing of Adam Johnson after the skate injury in a UK professional league. For a period of time, the other player involved in the incident was under investigation for potential legal action against him for his role in the injury. Now today, the lead coroner on the case provided a significant update on the investigation status.
According to a report from the BBC, the senior coroner on the case Tanyka Rawden has suspended the investigation.
According to Rawden, the suspension of the investigation will last until July of this year, unless the local police department decides to not proceed with charges against the other player.
Her report does leave open the possibility of re-opening the investigation in the future, so at this moment, we'll just have to wait.
