A forgotten face returned to oilers practice this morning
The Edmonton Oilers have received some encouraging news as defenseman Ryan Murray returns to the ice after a five-month absence due to injury. Murray's last game was in November.
Jay Woodcroft, head coach of the Oilers, expressed his satisfaction with Murray's return and confirmed that he will be joining the team on their upcoming road trip. However, Woodcroft also noted that Murray's return to the lineup is not yet imminent.
Murray's return to the lineup will be a much-needed boost for the management as they have a solid backup option in case a defensemen goes down. The team has allowed an average of 3.29 goals per game, which ranks 21st in the league.
