Corey Perry drops the gloves with one of biggest players in NHL
In tonight's game against the Winnipeg Jets, Corey Perry proved why he has a reputation as a fearless player by taking on one of the biggest players in the league in a fight.
Early in the first period, Perry was already getting under the Jets skin and paid some attention to their 6'7 defender Logan Stanley. After a check along the boards, the two dropped the gloves and went at it.
Stanley definitely got the best of Perry, largely because of the huge size and reach difference, but Perry hung in there for quite a while - an impressive performance for a 38 year old legendary forward.
The that Perry even had the guts to fight a guy of Stanley's size will have a huge effect on the Oilers. Perry plays with a fearlessness and can drag his teams into the fight with physical play like this, and that's will be crucial for the team in the playoffs.
It'll be fantastic for Oilers fans to get to watch the worm play in his prime form in the playoffs this year.
