Following Vancouver's big win on Hockey Night in Canada, a wholesome moment was caught on camera between goaltenders Casey DeSmith and Thatcher Demko.

It was a big game for both the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night, with the Pacific Division title coming down to the wire. Coming into the game, the Oilers sat just three points back of the Vancouver Canucks for the division lead and a win could've pulled them within one point.

However, the Oilers, who were without Connor McDavid once again to a lower-body injury, fell to the Canucks by a score of 3-1, with Vancouver's depth providing the scoring. Sam Lafferty, Pius Suter and Dakota Joshua picked up the goals for the Canucks, while Casey DeSmith stood tall, making 32 saves on 33 shots.

Following the game, DeSmith was being interviewed by Sportsnet and once it was over, the camera caught a wholesome moment between him and Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko, who has been out for over a month with a knee injury. DeSmith and Demko hugged, before he got a pat on the back from head coach Rick Tocchet and headed back into the locker room.

DeSmith, 32, has been pretty good as the team's back-up goaltender to Thatcher Demko this season. In 29 games, he has a record of 12-9-6 with a goals against average of 2.85, an .896 save percentage and one shutout.

The Canucks will be back in action on Tuesday night at Rogers Arena as they'll have an opportunity to win the Pacific Division for the first time in franchise history in front of their fans. Puck drop for Tuesday's game against the Calgary Flames is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET on Sportsnet Pacific.
