Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini has issued a statement ahead of the team's final regular season game against the Winnipeg Jets, thanking the entire organization including the players, coaches, and management, among many other staff. He also made note of thanking all of the Canucks' family and fans.

The 55-year-old owner, born and raised in Vancouver, is a managing director of the Aquilini Investment Group, who own both the Canucks and their home rink of Rogers Arena. His ownership dates back to the mid-2000s, and has overseen a Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2011 among many other accomplishments.

The Canucks also clinched the Pacific Division title with a decisive 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday, not without some heated exchanges — specifically, a mini-brawl between the undersized Conor Garland and six-foot-eight Adam Klapka of the Flames. Filip Hronek and Quinn Hughes were also part of the brief exchange.

They will turn their attention towards the Stanley Cup Playoffs, where they will have home ice advantage against either the Los Angeles Kings or the Vegas Golden Knights. The playoffs are set to begin on Saturday, April 20.
