Oilers worried to lose 2 players on waivers, will consider trading multiple roster players

The Edmonton Oilers have a few players nearing their returns from injury, which will force multiple roster moves imminently.
All 3 of Zach Hyman, Mattias Janmark, and Alec Regula will soon be cleared to return to play. The Oilers will need to clear $2.79M, and roster spots too for their returning players.
Edmonton Oilers will need to part with multiple players as healthy players return
According to a recent update from NHL insider Frank Seravalli, the Oilers are aware they'd lose Regula and Philp if placed on waivers. That has the team looking at options to move Mattias Janmark, Troy Stecher, and Ty Emberson.
Alec Regula has earned himself a spot in the Top 6. He's not going to be the odd man-out. Up front, Noah Philp would be claimed (on waivers) as well, and I think that's the last thing they want to do.
I think they've got a couple different options. I'll be curious to see: Has Mattias Janmark run his useful (hockey) life in Edmonton? Is he a guy the Oilers would consider moving because he might be one of the easier ways to clear up salary cap space.
Emberson is a slightly better player (than Stecher). I think the world of Troy Stecher. I think he's the league's perfect 6/7 (d-man). But he's professional, he's low maintenance or no maintenance. He does the job without any fanfare and he costs a lot less than Emberson on the cap.

If the Oilers are looking for the best option to clear the necessary $2.79M in salary cap space for Hyman to return, Emberson and Janmark heading out makes the most sense.
Janmark and Emberson's salaries combined amount to $2.75M, nearly the exact amount of salary they need to clear. Paired with sending down a player like Curtis Lazar, the Oilers can clear the necessary roster spots and cap space - as well as ice the best lineup possible.
With these injured players aiming to return within the week, the Oilers could be making a trade to clear space very soon.
