The Edmonton Oilers have finally made a trade to add a goalie to the organization, and they may not be done yet.

Connor Ingram was acquired by the Oilers this week, and their new goalie will head straight to the AHL for now. In the meantime, GM Stan Bowman may still look at new additions to the crease.

Oilers GM Stan Bowman doesn't rule out another move for a goaltender

Though he does have some history of success as a starter in the NHL, Connor Ingram is currently seen as a reclamation project for the Oilers. They'll help him get up to speed, but it's not a guarantee he can help the NHL.
When speaking to the media, Stan Bowman seemed to recognize this fact, and didn't rule out actually trading for another more established goalie.
Goalies are no different than anyone else. If there's a way to upgrade your team and have a surefire improvement on your roster, we'd have to look at that. But the reality of it is, those situations are very rare, not just for goalies, but for established players

So, I would say that if that situation were to present itself two months from now, I wouldn't rule it out.

Interestingly, immediately afterward Bowman also said that the team hasn't engaged in any contract talks with Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard. Both Oilers goalies are set to become free agents, which may lead to Edmonton entirely reshaping their tandem.
We haven't talked to them about extensions. Not to say that we won't

We'll have to sort out what we're going to do with our goaltending over the next 10 months. But for now, that's not something we're looking at.

Stuart Skinner is reportedly seeking up to $6M, which Edmonton should be weary of paying. That may expedite another change at the goalie position.
If a deal did present itself for the Oilers to land a star goalie to form a new tandem with Ingram in the future - that seems to be something that could interest the Oilers. However it happens, the Oilers need to enter this year's playoffs with stronger goaltending.
