During a recent episode of 32 Thoughts, Insider Elliotte Friedman mentioned several Nashville players he believes could help the Oilers at the trade-deadline.
I do think they looked into Bunting. And, you know, last pod, we mentioned Perbix. Everyone's curious about the big Nashville guys.
The other guy for the Predators, I think, is going to be a name out there, is going to be McCarron. I think he's a, like, fourth-line center, does the things you need to do in the postseason.

Bottom-6 help could be available
The Predators look to be on the outside of the playoff picture and not getting any closer with a recent three-game skid.
Though it wouldn't be the big trade-deadline splash Oilers' fans anticipate, three players in particular could Nashville's lineup could help their bottom-6 needs.
Offensively speaking, Michael Bunting is perhaps the best bet. Over 53 games, he's scored 12G and 29 points as a middle-six forward and lately has played on a line with center Steven Stamkos.
He can certainly move up the lineup if needed, but it's on the 3rd-line where he would be most useful and where Oilers need immediate production.
Yet, if it's physicality and toughness in a middle-depth role they're after, the 6'4" defenseman Nick Perbix is the player.
His game is simple and effective and is able to give a team anywhere between 15 and 20 minutes per game shutting down the opposition's top-players.
Finally, winger and fourth liner Michael McCarron comes as advertised. At 6'6" and 235-pounds, the 30-year old brings aggression and physicality in the post-season, a role that is essential when scoring is tight and there is no room on the ice.
Big bodies come at premium in the playoffs. Edmonton would do well to get a few at the trade-deadline.
