The Edmonton Oilers are back at home preparing for the Stanley Cup Final beginning next week, but players are still finding time to give back to the community.
Jake Walman is one of the newest Oilers on the team, and has been a perfect fit as a two-way defender with the ability to move the puck. He's also been a great fit off the ice, exemplified by his actions last night.

An Oilers fan took to social media last night to share that Jake Walman stopped to chat with some young fans, and got them packs of hockey cards.
It's incredible to see a player stop to create a special moment for some kids, and make new fans for life of the Edmonton Oilers. Jake Walman's actions here speak volumes about his character and fit in Edmonton.
Walman may have been the Oilers' relatively smallest move at the trade deadline, but it's a deal that's looking incredible for Edmonton. The Oilers only gave up a conditional first and
Carl Berglund for Walman, and have him this season and next on a sweetheart contract of $3.4M.
The 29 year old left shot defenceman plays a truly solid two-way game. He's the got the physical frame to be a punishing defenceman, and also has the ability to make slick breakout passes. Having him back next season will stack the Oilers left side with talent.
Hopefully the Oilers are able to get an extension done with Walman to keep him beyond next season, because he's clearly a great fit for Edmonton on and off the ice.
