The Edmonton Oilers are still actively holding discussions with Mangiapane’s agent in hopes of a move.
According to reports from NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, Andrew Mangiapane's agent Allen Roy has had conversations with Oilers' GM to help negotiate a trade.
It has been more than a month of Andrew Mangiapane being in and out of the Oilers lineup, and to some degree, it's surprising he hasn't been traded yet.
It's not for a lack of trying. My understanding is that the Oilers are having ongoing conversations with teams open-minded about a return. But there hasn't been a fit so far.
My sense is that Bowman's communication with the player's agent, Allain Roy, has been as positive and constructive as it can be, given the difficult circumstances.
I wonder about teams such as the Winnipeg Jets, Ottawa Senators or St. Louis Blues as fits.

I can assure you when the season began, this was not what Andrew Mangiapane had envisioned, not by a longshot, not these, so-called 'difficult circumstances.'
He signed a two-year deal at $3.6M annually as a free agent, eager to contribute and make a difference on the two-time Western Conference Champs and Stanley Cup Finalist.
Well, Edmonton's script has gone as expected, with the team now competing for 1st in their division and getting stronger as the season unwinds. They are looking like real contenders.
Except, the success has come in spite of Mangiapane and not because of his contribution, which has been non-existent.
And now GM Bowman is having an impossible time finding a trade-partner. It's looking more and more like he'll need to sweeten any potential deal with a prospect or two, depending on the asset coming back.
All three of the Jets, Senators and Blues will be sellers and all three could use help in scoring goals. The question is, which version of Mangiapane would they be getting.
Edmonton found out the hard way.
