The Edmonton Oilers have finally wrapped up their gruelling 7-game road trip through the East, and soon could see some reinforcements join the lineup.
The Oilers are already showing some signs of turning things around with some quality play to end the trip, and now the schedule will ease up slightly. With the returns of Nugent-Hopkins and Kapanen too, the Oilers will be able to hit their stride.
Edmonton Oilers insider provides update on Nugent-Hopkins and Kapanen injuries
According to an update from Kurt Leavins of the Edmonton Journal today, the Oilers are expecting to see both players return to the lineup fairly soon - which will also result in Clattenburg being sent down.
I hope [Clattenburg] gets another game or two before the regulars return which sounds like soon for both Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Kasperi Kapanen, who are both back skating.

Oilers GM Stan Bowman recently confirmed the team expects to be fully healthy near December 1st, with Nugent-Hopkins being slightly ahead of Kapanen for a return timeline. Either way, the Oilers are just a week away from being fully healthy up front.
Considering their improved play of late, returning home from a long trip, and getting key players back from injury - the Oilers are showing all the signs to finally start climbing the standings.
The only injury now still in question for the team is defenceman Jake Walman, ruled out with an undisclosed injury for up to 1 week.
With these favourable conditions coming up, it's on the Oilers to finally put together a consistent stretch of games - or management will be forced to shake things up.
