On a recent episode of Oilersnation Everyday, former Edmonton oiler Jason Demers feels that Evander Kane may have to overcome a locker room issue once he returns to the Oilers soon.
Demers thinks there is some residual issues between Kane and other members of the Oilers after last year's playoffs that showed Leon Draisaitl and Kane exchanging heated words at times.
Demers feels Oilers could form a heavy 2nd line for playoffs
Demers explains that the Oilers have an opportunity to form a very heavy an effective line with Leon Draisaitl once the Oilers receive Trent Frederic and Evander Kane off long-term injury.
Locker room trouble may appear for Kane and Oilers
Some fans and pundits feel that there may be some locker room issues between Kane and other members of the Oilers. As many watched last season, there were at times heated discussions on the bench between Kane and other members of the leadership group including Draisaitl and Corey Perry.
Others believe that this issue would be considered over and that the team would be ready to turn the page and welcome Kane back into the lineup as the team begins to fortify and get itself ready for the playoff run.
13 games remain in the regular season for the Oilers, and they will be taking on the Seattle Kraken later this evening as the Oilers look to closeout the year strong and prepare for their first round playoff.
