In a recent update, analyst Jason Gregor confirmed that Oilers' forward prospect Connor Clattenburg will be out of the lineup indefinitely.

Feisty forward down again with injury

It's been that kind of year for the 20-year old from Ottawa, Ontario, in which he has suffered two injuries, just when he was gaining momentum as an Oilers' call-up.
Clattenburg broke his hand while grabbing a jersey during a fight on January 7th playing with the Condors, a part of his game for which he's gaining a reputation.
The physical forward had already spent time on the LTIR this year, this time for an eye injury incurred in early December.
Connor Clattenburg made an immediate impact in his NHL debut in late November, dressing for five games. He scored his first NHL goal and provided a level of aggression the Oilers had been lacking to that point.
He also ranked 4th on the Oilers in the five-games stretch with 28.31 hits per 60 minutes.
You may recall that Connor had suffered an eye injury on December 4th, causing him to be placed on the LTIR at the time, and here is again.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward plays an energetic, physical style that resulted in his initial promotion, and has built his game aggression and toughness, an aspect of the game that, though sometimes frowned upon, is as essential to a win as scoring goals.
The outlook for Clattenburg as an NHL players is good. His development in the AHL has shown a steady improvement in his skating and positional play, according to reports.
We wish Connor a speedy recovery.
