Connor McDavid was angry in press conference for great reasons
Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid was all business at his latest post game press conference as he showed his intensity and somewhat anger towards certain notions towards Stuart Skinner.
The Oilers captain clearly is dialed in for this upcoming Western Conference final against the Dallas Stars which will be a rematch from last year with more determination than before.
Oilers reporters notice the difference in McDavid this playoffs
This change in behavior was noticed and mentioned on the latest episode of the Better Lait Than Never podcast.
It's clear that McDavid was fed up with doubters and haters that Stuart Skinner has shown up and showing the fans that he is ready for the next round with a back-to-back shutout performance.
It was important and a great sign from the captain that he is defending his goaltender as it's likely Skinner will get Game One against the Stars on the road.
Kurt Leavins of the Edmonton Journal also gave his take on the answers that McDavid was giving during the presser that the game seven loss against the Florida Panthers last year still stings in McDavid and he has a stronger resolve in this year's playoffs.
Connor McDavid's prickly answer to a perfectly fair question about defence after Game Five raised a few eyebrows. But I think it goes back to the same source as many things we have seen in Connor's game and approach this season: The Game Seven loss to Florida last Spring. Unless you have been in a comparable situation, it might be difficult to understand what kind of a mark a defeat like that leaves. It leaves a lasting sting. As a result, the fire to win burns even hotter.

McDavid ready to push team forward through
It's become clear that McDavid is ready to push his team forward through Round 3 and will embrace the challenges that will come as the Stars are a very strong opponent.
It will be an all-team effort to get to the Stanley Cup finals this year as the Stars have been firing on all cylinders especially in the last round.
It will be a fun and fascinating round to watch, and it's set to begin on Wednesday May 21st and game time will be at 9:30 PM eastern.
