NHL makes an announcement on Andrei Kuzmenko

There is still uncertainty regarding the Canucks last blockbuster deal that involved the star winger Andrei Kuzmenko and the newest Canucks member Elias Lindholm.

The star Swede has had difficulties finding his game with the Canucks. Offensive struggles and injuries have been holding him back. However, since he's been placed between the feisty Conor Garland and the heavy Dakota Joshua, it appears Elias Lindholm finally found his niche.

On the other side of things, while at first, it looked like the Canucks did right by sending Kuzmenko elsewhere, the Russian has found his scoring touchback. The NHL issued a statement acknowledging his performance and his five goals in the last four games:



Many fans have pointed out that Kuzmenko may have developed an ability to perform in meaningless games. Kuzmenko managed 39 tallies at a time when the Canucks weren't anywhere near a playoff spot, and now he's been lighting it up in Calgary, who's been out of the playoff portrait for quite some time now.

Is Kuzmenko only able to perform when there is no pressure? With the playoffs right around the corner, we'll see then whether or not the Canucks made the right call by spending a hefty price to acquire Lindholm.
