Earlier today Oilers Daily revealed the news that Oilers players made a huge request ahead of the NHL trade deadline day. That request was for a good puck moving defenceman that could get the puck out of the zone and jump into the plays.
The Oilers General Manager Ken Holland is believed to be actively trying to get that with either Arizona Coyotes defenceman Jakob Chychrun or San Jose Sharks Erik Karlsson.
Well according to the Edmonton Oilers Radio Analyst Bob Stauffer, he believes the Oilers are going to acquire Erik Karlsson.
Stauffer even revealed the offer that would be on the table:
"Bob Stauffer, radio analyst for the Edmonton Oilers has said that the Oilers offer for Erik Karlsson would be their 2023 1st, defensemen Evan Bouchard, prospect Xavier Bourgault (as the 3 1sts) and two contracts, Tyson Barrie to balance out the numbers and another roster player."
Karlsson has rejuvenated his career this season. The 32 year-old has 18 goals, and 55 assists in 54 games this season. Adding this, Erik Karlsson to the Oilers team is definitely exciting and would be a huge part of the Oilers hoping to contend for a Stanley cup.
