The Edmonton Oilers have recently lost to two non-playoff teams last week including a 6-2 loss Sunday to the Montreal Canadiens. This clearly shows the Edmonton Oilers and their General Manager Ken Holland clearly have some work to deal ahead of the trade deadline if they want to have another deep playoff run.
The Oilers have been rumoured to be trying to acquire Arizona Coyotes defenceman Jakob Chychrun, and San Jose Sharks defenceman Erik Karlsson, both would fit the bill for what the Oilers need and there's also another good defenceman the Oilers may consider and that's Montreal Canadiens Joel Edmundson, who's also won a Stanley Cup in St Louis. He was a huge piece to the Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup final run back in 2021.
