With tickets supplied by the Gretzky family, two Oilers fans were approached in a dollar store and given the opportunity of a lifetime to attend Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, and $1000 in cash.

It's incredible to see some of the city's most hardcore fans rewarded for their belief in the team with an incredible gift when they need it most.

Wayne Gretzky's personal involvement is incredible to see too, as he's continued to be an ambassador for Edmonton and the Oilers throughout his life. Gretzky met with the two fans during the game, shook their hands, and gave them a moment they'll remember forever.

Gretzky has been in the public eye plenty this year, as Ovechkin shattered his career goal record. The Oilers legend was gracious about passing up his record, but has also proved that his legacy will be about more than just goals and points - but also about paying it back to the fans.
