Insiders reveal conflicting reports on future of Paul Coffey with Edmonton Oilers
With the Oilers sliding into the Olympic break, there’s been plenty of discussion about potential changes to the coaching staff, most notably the re-addition of Paul Coffey.

We’ve then got two conflicting reports from NHL insiders: one that Coffey is returning, and another doubtful. At the very least, the reporting on the topic reveals that it has been under consideration from the Oilers front office.
We’ll see what happens in the coming weeks as the Olympic break concludes, but the coaching staff will be making changes regardless.
After Leon Draisaitl’s comments, they’ll coaching staff needs to adjust their plans or risk alienating their players while sticking to a failing strategy.
