Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews spotted and Leafs fans are freaking out

McDavid and Matthews were seen sitting down in a restaurant recently, and Leafs fans have ridiculously jumped on it as Matthews recruiting McDavid to play in Toronto.

As Oilers fans, there's no reason to believe that McDavid is leaving to play in Toronto when is contract expires in two seasons. This meeting is simply between two friends and superstars, just catching up before the season begins. Last week, McDavid and Matthews were spotted together for an unknown event with EHC Red Bull Munchen in Germany.

Toronto Maple Leafs fans can dream all they want, but McDavid has harshly shut down any idea of playing for the Leafs in recent years. Most of McDavid's family have moved away from the Toronto Area, and earlier this year when playing the Leafs, McDavid actually said Toronto is �a great place to leave.'
