A College goaltender in the United States has passed away unexpectedly at just 22 years old.
The University of Oregon Ducks announced late last night in a statement on social media that Henry Bradford has passed away. The University shared their devastation at the loss of an incredible, promising young man.
"We are heartbroken to share that our Senior goaltender, Henry ''Hank'' Bradford unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 20th 2024. Hank was an incredibly kind and thoughtful man with a contagious laugh and an amazing sense of humor. As great a goalie as he was, Hank was an even better human. He was the perfect example of treating people how you want to be treated, never missing an opportunity to call someone "sir or ma'am."
Hank, your mustache and last second splits will go down in Oregon hockey history forever. We'll miss you #1." The University of Oregon said.
Bradford played the last three seasons with the University of Oregon Ducks, appearing in a total of 20 games. Bradford played games that were in the ACHA with Oregon, with a record of 2-8-0 and a save percentage of .885. He sounded like an incredible person who made a deep impact on the people around him. There's no doubt the University of Oregon will honour Bradford properly.
The entire hockey world will be thinking of Bradford's family, friends, and teammates during this incredibly difficult time.
