Before the injury, Ryan McLeod had a 3-point night in a four-to-three win over the New York Rangers missed 10 games due to a lower-body injury. McLeod is eyeing a return to the lineup on Saturday against Anaheim.
Warren Foegele was also injured during the Rangers game and is available for the Oilers, however, Head Coach Jay Woodcroft is taking a wait-and-see approach for his return. The Oilers placed Brad Malone on waivers to be reassigned to the Bakersfield condors.
Foegele has played 20 games for the Oilers this season with three goals, and two assists for five points. He was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2014 Entry draft, third round 67th pick overall.
