Elliot Friedman said on 32 Thoughts that it's believed that the Oilers have had some conversations with the St. Louis Blues about a couple of their players.

The first player Elliot Friedman came out and said the Oilers have had conversations about is forward Noel Acciari. If the Oilers were to pick up Acciari he would be able to be a solid depth player and can even give them some depth scoring. Acciari has 18 points on the year 10 of them being goals. For him only being 209lbs he plays a very physical game as he's ranked 9th in the league for hits. This could be a good addition for the Oilers come playoffs as he would create a lot of momentum for the team.
The Oilers aren't the only team interest in Acciari, the Vegas Golden Nights have also been linked to him. Bruce Cassidy had Acciari with the Boston and AHL Providence, so that could be a good fit for them as well.
The other player the Oilers have been having conversations on is Ivan Barbashev. He would also be a depth player, which would improve the team because they are having depth scoring issues. Barbashev has 24 points on the season while averaging 16:18 of ice time per game in 51 games this season. He isn't the biggest player coming in at just 6 foot and 187lbs but isn't afraid to get physical. Barbashev would also bring playoff experience as he would go onto win the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019-20.

With that being said both players would help the Oilers out come long term and you wonder if the Oilers will pick up one if not both of them before the March 3rd deadline.
