We're now about a week away from the NHL's trade deadline and the Edmonton Oilers fanbase is getting anxious waiting to see if General Manager Ken Holland is going to make a trade to help the Oilers heading into a hopeful lengthy playoff run.
However, it's not just fans getting impatient with Holland as Oilers Reporter Bob Stauffer is also starting to lose his patience with him calling Holland out saying:
"These guys in upper management are privileged to have the jobs they have and the time is now to do something to help this team."
I think Holland is trying, but like many team's Holland is simply handcuffed with the salary cap and being unable to trade Jesse Puljujärvi, doesn't help the Oilers cap situation. If the Oilers want to make a move they will likely need to bring in a 3rd team to retain salary.
