Oilers' goaltender fulfills a dream...
Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner has been all smiles since he signed a three-year contract extension. Skinner explains to the media how he feels about accomplishing this goal.
It brings a smile to my face when I hear of a player who signs with his boyhood dream team that he is followed, idolized, and watched over the years. He mentioned how the signing wasn't much of an issue and had several calls from his agent as the contract negotiations progressed.
With the recent trouble of Jack Campbell in his play, Skinners' game has risen to a new level and has calmed the net for the Oilers. His progress has been great to watch and should lead to great success.
The 24-year-old netminder is currently on a $750,000 contract, and his extension is a three-year deal worth $7.8 million and he's carrying a cap of 2.6 million AAV. In the 2022-2023 season, he's played 19 games with 9 wins 8 losses and one overtime loss. He holds a 2.83 GAA and a .915% SV
