The NHL is currently gathered in Florida this weekend for the 2023 NHL All-Star weekend from Florida Panthers' FLA Live Arena. Connor McDavid was the first player to represent the Edmonton Oilers, but when it came to fan votes it was a no brainer that his partner in crime Leon Draisaitl had to join McDavid for this weekend.

The two have been tearing it up all season in Edmonton. Draisaitl is looked at as one of the most dangerous players in the NHL for his offensive skills, but what else people notice about Draisaitl? Is that he plays with a very large and unique stick.

Draisaitl was asked about his stick during the Oilers recent game in Chicago vs the Blackhawks. The TNT Hockey Crew asked him about it?

"That blade on your stick, is there a nickname for it? It seems extremely oversized and in fact illegal,» Paul Bissonnette questioned.

Draisaitl stated that it's for sure legal and also revealed his great nickname for the paddle.

"It is legal, Draisaitl said. "But I do call it the burger flipper' every once in a while. I think it flips a nice burger."

During Draisaitl's interview, he also answered a question from Rick Tocchet about how much he's practiced to get his amazing backhand.

"It's just something I've taken big pride in,» Draisaitl said. «My dad used to always tell me it's another weapon in any situation, really. I try to use it to my advantage and sometimes it works better than others."

Here's the interview for your viewing pleasure.
