Goaltenders who purposefully shake their helmets off of their heads to cause a whistle during a scoring opportunity for their opponent's team are being noticed by the NHL after a numerous amount of situations like so have happened recently.

Goalies have shaken their helmets off a few times this season in an effort to stop the game due to the onslaught of offence coming from their opponents.
Last night, Dallas Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger was assessed a 2-minute delay of game penalty for taking his helmet off during play. It's a controversial play, but since the NHL has pledged to crack down on goaltender shenanigans, they can't afford to take any chances.

Did he deserve the penalty?
