Milan Lucic throws shade on his old team, the Flames
Milan Lucic, a former NHL player who has played for both teams in Alberta, became notorious for receiving a bad contract in 2016.
As he has aged, his on-ice performance has declined, which is to be expected.
Recently, he was interviewed by Scott Hartnell after his return to the Bruins. Lucic shared his observations about the differences between the Edmonton and Calgary organizations.
He noted that the Oilers have a larger fanbase in Alberta, with about 70 percent supporting them and 30 percent supporting the Flames.
Lucic also mentioned that playing with
Connor McDavid was a significant advantage compared to playing in Calgary, despite Johnny Gaudreau being a superstar, albeit not on McDavid's level.
The past two postseasons have shown that the Oilers dominate the province, not the Flames.
