Oilers forward Kailer Yamamoto, who has been out for injury for a few weeks, is ready to return to the lineup as early as Saturday. With his return, the Oilers need to make two roster moves to fit him into the lineup.
The 24-year-old right winger has not had a spectacular season and has been plagued with numerous injuries. Yamamoto hopes for a rebound remainder of the season to help the Oilers with their playoff push. He has played 31 games, scored only four goals with eight assists and 12 points, and holds a + 7.
Oilers nation hopes Yamamoto can rebound and gain back the form he had in 2021-2022, where he scored twenty goals. General manager Ken Holland stated that he would look for extra interest in either trades or through waivers to help open these slots.
