Is This The End? The Edmonton Oilers Have Announced a Roster Move
The Edmonton Oilers have announced that they have sent Devin Shore to the AHL on a conditioning loan. Shore, who is 28 years old has done next-to nothing while he is in the Oilers lineup, he is a great veteran leader in the locker room but does not provide the Oilers with anything.
His last game played was ''last year'' if you may joke about, when it came just before New Years day. To send him to the AHL for longer the Oilers would have to place him on waivers, which in recent reports state that he is on the trading block- the Oilers would not be pleased with someone else claiming him for no cost on the waiver wire.
Shore has just 23 points in 116 games for the Oilers, a stat-line that carries with usual grinders or enforcers of the game, but for Shore he is neither.
