Golden Knights goaltender is far from returning to action.
This season for the Golden Knights starting goaltender Logan Thompson has been stellar, to say the least. In his second season with the Knights, he has given the team playoff performances night after night and vaulted them into a playoff spot.
In the 2022-2023 season, he played 37 games and had a record of 21-13-3 with a GAA of 2.65 and an SV percentage of .915.
Everything looked well and good up until February 9th, 2023 when he suffered a major injury while playing against the Minnesota Wild.
Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy revealed today that he is nowhere closer to returning to the lineup as the team begins its venture against the Oilers in round two.
This news bodes well for the Oilers as the Vegas Golden Knights have played backup goaltender Laurent Brossoit through most of the first round. Vegas also acquired former Los Angeles starter Jonathan Quick as insurance in case Brossoit fails.
The second round series begins on Wednesday, May 3rd and game time will be 9:30 PM.
