Former goaltender turned broadcaster takes shots at Evander Kane
Mike McKenna has an impressive background in the NHL, having played for several teams including Tampa Bay, New Jersey, Columbus, Arizona, Ottawa, Dallas, and Philadelphia for a decade. Although his time in each team was short, he was not able to establish himself as a career goaltender.
Recently, as a Vegas Golden Knights analyst, McKenna shared his views on Evander Kane's post-season play.
While it's acceptable to provide insights on the game, McKenna's criticism of Kane's performance lacked context.
It was later revealed that Kane had an injured finger that negatively affected his performance, and many players continue to play despite their injuries in the playoffs.
Understandably, injuries are a common occurrence in playoff hockey.
However, McKenna's criticism of Kane's lack of production was dishonest, as it did not consider the context of the situation.
