The jury was out when the Edmonton Oilers traded for Evander Kane when he was pegged as a bad boy of the NHL. His legal troubles outside the team, along with troubled financials painted a picture of a man who may not be a good fit for the Oilers organization.
Since arriving with the Oilers, Kane has immersed himself in the community, along with the team on the ice. He has repeatedly said in interviews that he enjoys his time with the Oilers and the city of Edmonton and continues to speak highly of the community.
And of course, Kane jumped right into bowling and doing artwork with the kids. I have to say it's a nice sight to see a player with the reputation he had to turn it around and become a community leader with the Oilers organization.
