Evander Kane commits a dangerous cross-check ... could face discipline?
The Vegas Golden Knights and Oilers series is turning into quite the scene of anger and cons of physicality against one another. Time and time again, both teams have sparred against each other to get the upper hand.
Tonight's game three was no different as Evander Kane put on a display that turned a few heads.
Just as the first period was winding down to a close, Kane made a beeline straight for Vegas Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo and delivered a cross-check directly to his neck.
The ensuing scrum had three Vegas Knights players going after Kane. Kane ended up serving two minutes for cross-checking.
It remains to be seen if Kane will face additional discipline as there have been some plays throughout this NHL playoffs that have warranted additional game suspensions. We'll have to stay tuned to see if anything comes further from this.
The Oilers lost the game 5-1. The Golden Knights now go up 2-1 in the series.
