Evander Kane Spends the Day in Disneyland with Cecily
Evander Kane of the Edmonton Oilers was able to spend some time with 10-year-old Cecily who is battling brain cancer. Who Kane met during a game last season, in which he was out due to injury.
This summer, Cecily has complied a bucket list for herself that have ended up involving Evander Kane and the Edmonton Oilers � Either on purpose or just by chance. Including a surprise birthday party that she threw for one of her friends, and of course Kane attended.
Now just recently, Cecily shared that she would be getting the chance to fly out to Los Angeles, California and visit Evander Kane. Shortly after she shared a video of Kane and her spending time in the world renowned Disneyland.
In the caption Cecily wrote «Evander Kane you're the best ride buddy ever!!!». It is pretty clear the bound these two have, not only from the caption and past experiences but it is shown in the video it self.
Well Cecily may be battling her own issues, that hasn't stopped the young girl from helping to raise over $175,000 towards the Ben Stelter Fund, which was created in honour of another young Oilers fan who sadly lost his battle to cancer at just the age of six.
Cecily spoke very fondly and proudly of The Ben Stelter Fund saying, «The Ben Stelter Fund is special to me,» Cecily wrote on her fundraiser page. «I am friends with Ben's sisters and I see how much they love him and what a big heart Ben had. Ben got to have incredible experiences and that is something we have in common. Magical experiences are something that mean a lot to me. When you have the chance to do something fun instead of just hard things, it helps heal your heart. The Ben Stelter Fund is going to help kids fighting cancer have some magical experiences, and I can't imagine anything more important. I have spent the past two years since my diagnosis raising money for kids with cancer, and have raised over $175,000. I have a big dream to raise as much as I can!»
Not only does Ben Stelter and his family have big hearts but so does Cecily, showing how much she cares and appreciates others.
