Erik Karlsson Completely Disrespects His Team and Breaks a Common Respect Rule
A few weeks ago, Erik Karlsson made headlines around the NHL when it came to light that the San Jose Sharks had activelystated thatthe Swedish defender, who was leading the league in scoring, placed him up for trade. Since then, Karlsson has not come up in trade rumours but rather in the highlight reels that are played each day after he plays; it appears that he is just becoming better despite his advancing age.
Karlsson has more goals and assists than most NHL forwardswith 17 goals and 53 assists in 52 games. But many have questioned whether organizations are avoiding Karlsson because they are worried about his attitude after he was captured on camera breaking a common respect guideline.
Karlsson made a poor decision on the ice, and the Florida Panthers capitalized by scoring.
Karlsson made the odd decision to leave thebenchand proceed straight to the locker room; typically, players wait at least until the final buzzer sounds, but Karlsson left with minutes still on the clock.
With being one of the highest paid defensemen in the entire NHL and that attitude you can bet he will not be moved any time soon.
