During this year's NHL All-Star game, the league brought back an old feature of allowing team captains to select their teams in a draft, this time with the aid of celebrity co-captains. Michael Buble was the co-captain to the team of Hughes brothers, and after the event he revealed some interesting information.

In an interview after the event, Buble admitted that he had taken a dose of magic mushrooms before the game.
My buddy told me it was a microdose of mushrooms, he was lying. I thought I was in Blades of Glory for most of the time I was out there, but then I realized 'holy shit, I'm at the NHL All-Star Game'

Here's the video of Buble explaining this, where he touches on his intoxication at the end.
Honestly, if Buble was severely impaired during the hour-long TV draft, it didn't really show much. If anything, he seemed genuinely excited to be a part of the event and like he was a true and knowledgeable hockey fan.
It's a hilarious story, one that NHL fans will remember for a while - having one of Canada's most popular musicians and Christmas singers absolutely zooted at the All Star Game.
