When the Edmonton Oilers General Manager Ken Holland signed Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Jack Campbell this off-season to a big contract many believed Campbell was going to be the man in the Oilers net this season.
Unfortunately, that hasn't panned out, however out of no where another goaltender has stepped up and looks like like the Oilers believe he's the new man in goal for the Oilers. That guy is Stuart Skinner.
The 24 year old has been phenomenal for the Oilers and according to Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Jeff Marek Skinner was rewarded signing a new 3 year deal that pays him $2.6 million dollars annually.
In 19 games this season Skinner has a 2.83 goals against and a .915 save percentage with a 9-8-1 record Skinner looks to be the Oilers future.
