The long time Bruin Captain Patrice Bergeron, will have a lot to think about this offseason as this may have been his last year in the NHL.

After the unfortunate loss to the Florida Panthers in Game 7 on home ice, Bergeron hugged and had a moment with every player before leaving the ice. Any captain would do the same thing, but you could tell this meant something more then just a simple hug between teammates.

It is truly remarkable that Patrice Bergeron, played through a herniated disc in his back but it may be the reason he has to hang up the skates for good. Patrice was a question mark for this whole series, but he came in early in the series and fought through his injuries to be a true leader. The 37 year old has played 1,294 games (all as a Bruin), and scored 1,040 points. Patrice collected a lot of hardware over his two decades of playing.

The Bruins faithful and Boston city have loved Bergeron since the day he joined the club, his loyalty and heart-ship was invent when he played his first game in 2003-04.

The moments that Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron have shared over the years, have been very special for Boston Bruins fandom. Especially the little moments as they grew a bond with each other over the many years of playing with one another. The two embraced at the end of Game 7 it was very emotional and heartfelt, as they both shared a cry and were the last two off the ice.

Patrice Bergeron will sit down with his family this off season and consider his options, but as of right now with his age and the injuries with stained throughout the season, it looks like it may be it for the Bruins Captain.
